Engineers Without Borders Sweden is a volunteer based and value driven organization Engineering for Humanity. For over 15 years, we have been driven by a single goal: build a sustainable future for communities around the world. With sustainability and long-term thinking as guidance, we mobilize our engineering expertise to provide innovative solutions empowering communities today and ensure their resilience tomorrow. Now, a brand-new local group is launching in Umeå – and we’re looking for you to join our team!

- Thoughtful, reflective, and open to questioning traditional views of technology and progress.
- Committed to promoting knowledge, critical thinking, and engagement around sustainability and social responsibility.
- A strong communicator who can connect with diverse audiences and spark curiosity about global engineering challenges.
As Head of Reflective Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping how our local group engages with global challenges, helping to build awareness around the ethical and social dimensions of engineering while contributing to a thoughtful and sustainable EWB chapter from the ground up.
Practical Information
- Start date: As soon as possible, with a flexible onboarding period leading up until the start of the semester.
- Duration: Until May 2026.
- Time commitment: 4 hours per week.
- Location: Umeå university, Umeå.
