We are searching for an experienced and capable Technical Delivery Director with a solid track record in the software services sector to join our team in either Copenhagen or Malmö.
This position involves leading large-scale transformation programs and initiatives for a key regional client. You will be responsible for managing a variety of workstreams while ensuring effective collaboration between local and global teams. As the primary person accountable for delivery, you will oversee program execution, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure alignment with strategic goals, deadlines, and financial constraints. You will work alongside award-winning teams specializing in design, development, and technology, driving innovation and fostering strong partnerships across business and technology domains.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a major transformation program for a pharmaceutical client
- Build and maintain client relationships, ensuring alignment of expectations and representing delivery at governance forums
- Oversee multiple workstreams to drive success across finance, sourcing, implementation, and key business outcomes
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including product owners, engineers, architects, and quality assurance professionals, to develop project estimates, delivery roadmaps, and conduct retrospectives
- Proactively identify and address risks within the engagement, escalating critical concerns when necessary
- Contribute to business development efforts by uncovering growth opportunities with existing and potential new clients
- Participate in pre-sales activities by preparing proposals, defining delivery strategies, and presenting solution architectures and implementation frameworks
Requirements
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, at a high level
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong understanding of business models, particularly in Development and R&D
- Expertise in cloud and data platforms such as Databricks, Data Mesh, AI/ML, AI Strategy, and Snowflake, with a focus on applications within Life Sciences
- Deep understanding of AI/ML solutions and their practical use cases in the Life Sciences industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, with experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Proven success in delivering complex projects, managing stakeholder relationships across all levels, and leading IT services engagements
- Strong ability to build collaborative client partnerships and work effectively within diverse, distributed teams
- Excellent skills in communication, planning, and presenting ideas
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities
- Extensive understanding of Agile frameworks and iterative delivery methods for building scalable, modern solutions
- Hands-on experience with software engineering practices, enabling you to guide technical decision-making and ensure effective delivery processes
- Significant experience in delivering data-centric projects, with a deep understanding of data management topics like governance, quality, integration, and lifecycle management
- Proven capability to manage several complex projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and coordinate distributed delivery teams across both client and EPAM
