We are seeking an accomplished and technically proficient Technical Delivery Director with extensive experience in the software services industry to join our team in Copenhagen or Malmö.
In this role, you will oversee complex transformation programs and projects for a key regional client. You will be responsible for managing multiple workstreams, ensuring seamless coordination between local and global delivery teams. Acting as the primary point of accountability, you will drive program delivery, maintain client satisfaction, and align initiatives with strategic objectives, timelines, and budget constraints. You will collaborate with award-winning design, development, and technology teams, fostering innovation and building strong business and technology partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a critical program for a pharmaceutical client
- Manage client relationships and align expectations, representing delivery at the governance level
- Oversee multiple workstreams to ensure successful execution across finance, sourcing, implementation, and business outcomes
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, architects, engineers, and quality assurance, to develop estimates, delivery plans, and retrospectives
- Proactively identify and mitigate engagement risks, escalating significant issues when required
- Contribute to business development initiatives for both existing and new clients by identifying opportunities for growth
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including preparing client proposals, defining implementation approaches, and presenting solution architectures and delivery frameworks
Requirements
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a deep understanding of business models, particularly in Development and R&D
- Experience with cloud and data platforms such as Databricks, Data Mesh, AI/ML, AI Strategy, and Snowflake, focusing on Life Sciences applications
- Strong knowledge of AI/ML solutions and their applications in the Life Sciences sector
- Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects, manage client stakeholders at all levels, and lead successful IT services engagements
- Ability to build strong client partnerships and collaborate effectively within a diverse, distributed virtual team
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and planning skills
- Strong organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Expertise in Agile methodologies and iterative delivery approaches to develop scalable and modern solutions
- Hands-on experience with software engineering practices, enabling the ability to guide technical decisions and ensure effective delivery methods
- Extensive experience delivering data projects and a deep understanding of data management concepts, including governance, quality, integration, and lifecycle management
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and coordinate distributed delivery teams across client and EPAM
