About the role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Content Marketing Manager to take full ownership of Oak’s content strategy. You’ll be responsible for planning, producing and optimising content across the funnel, from thought leadership and SEO-driven articles to case studies, sales assets, product messaging and campaign copy. You’ll be the go-to content expert and a key voice in how we attract, engage and convert our audiences.
You’ll bring fresh ideas, strong editorial instincts and a sharp understanding of how content drives pipeline and brand in a modern B2B SaaS business. What you’ll do
- Own and execute the content strategy and calendar across web, email, social media and campaigns.
- Develop and manage full-funnel content plans to drive demand generation, brand awareness, sales enablement and customer engagement across every stage of the buyer journey.
- Create, write, edit and proofread high-quality content such as blog posts, whitepapers, newsletters, guides, video scripts and landing pages, ensuring thought leadership and brand alignment.
- Craft compelling narratives and messaging for integrated campaigns, product launches and brand positioning, tailored to target audiences and business goals.
- Lead Oak Engage’s social media strategy, creating engaging, lead-generating content across LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok to increase website traffic and brand visibility.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Product Marketing, Sales and Customer Success to align content needs and develop visually engaging, on-brand marketing materials.
- Manage newsletters and nurture communications, including LinkedIn and customer emails, to strengthen relationships and drive ongoing engagement.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors and audience needs to inform timely, relevant content and fuel continuous innovation.
- Monitor and report on content performance, providing actionable insights to optimise campaigns and maximise impact.
- Utilise tools like Adobe InDesign to design and format visually marketing materials
- Leverage HubSpot to build lead nurture campaigns, create automated workflows and track Marketing performance
- Ensure all content is optimised for SEO and brand voice and tone is consistent across all channels.
- Manage one direct report, including setting objectives, providing regular feedback, supporting professional development and allocating tasks
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of content marketing experience in a B2B SaaS or tech company
- Experience with tools such as Umbraco, HubSpot, Google Analytics and Adobe InDesign
- Proven ability to create and execute content strategies independentl
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong portfolio to match
- Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and understands how content fuels growth
- Knowledge of SEO, demand generation and content performance metrics
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Bonus: experience working on internal comms, employee engagement, or HR tech content
- Experience in managing or mentoring junior team members
- Ability to prioritise and allocate tasks effectively within a small team structure

Our interview process
Stage 1: CV and application review
We’ll review your CV and any supporting materials to assess alignment with the role and our team needs.
Stage 2: Initial Teams call
A 30-minute conversation with the Head of Marketing & PR to discuss your background, experience and interest in the role. We’ll also share more about Oak and the opportunity ahead.
Stage 3: In-person interview and presentation
You’ll be invited to our HQ in Newcastle to meet key team members. As part of this stage, you’ll present a brief content strategy plan to generate Marketing Qualified Leads targeting the Internal Communication, HR and IT sectors. This is your chance to showcase your thinking, creativity and how you’d bring value to our brand. We’d also like you to submit a portfolio of relevant work (links or PDF) ahead of the interview to give us a broader view of your capabilities.
