Position Overview
The Country Manager, Nordics will be directly responsible for all commercially-related activities within the Scandinavian markets (Denmark, Finland, Island, Norway, Sweden): strategy development and tactical execution, personnel management and close communication and cooperation with Manager and inter-departmental stakeholders.
This position will report to the Senior Director Region Europe Direct.
The ideal candidate will have 15 years of Oncology related Commercial and Market Access experience in commercializing Oncology Pharma products and/or molecular diagnostics/IVD in the Nordics combined with a proven direct involvement and track record in driving performance and deliver results in a timely and efficient manner.
Experience as Country Manager and in Market Access/contracting preferred.
This role is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide effective leadership and strategic direction for the region in advancing our corporate presence and widening the market for Exact Sciences portfolio. This role will be responsible for all commercialization activities in the Scandinavian countries including strategy, marketing, sales, country specific operations and reimbursement.

- Effectively manage, support, and guide your team, including, but not limited to delegating tasks and responsibilities, assess employee performance and provide helpful feedback and training opportunities.
- The Country Manager will develop and execute on country specific strategic and tactical plans that are prioritized to maximize opportunity through focused resourcing.
- Responsible for managing country/regional specific P&L.
- Further build effective team of employees, consultants, and vendors to support business objectives. Also, work closely with relevant departments within Exact Sciences.
- Develop relationships with key customers, KOLs and other relevant stakeholders to support successful business growth. Establish key partnerships to maximize our business opportunity.
- Collaborate closely with Medical Societies and Scandinavian Authorities including to support patient access for Exact Sciences products.
- Provide input to the overall long range and operating corporate plans. The input will be the basis for forecasts and resource allocation.
- This role requires travel up to 40%
Minimum Qualifications
- 15+ years of Oncology Related Commercial and Market Access Sr. leadership experience with international pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or lab corporation, several years as BU Head strongly preferred.
- Min 5+ years in managing a multi-functional team especially with both direct and dotted-line reporting lines – this must include full P&L management
- Master and/or PhD in Healthcare Technology and/or Science required
- Strong hands-on experience in Market Access, reimbursement, and contracting
- In-depth understanding of commercialization of Oncology products and/or molecular diagnostics in you’re the Nordics region. IVD experience is required, and Direct-to-Consumer commercial experience is considered a strong plus.
- Excellent judgement, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous, complex tasks and to meet challenging deadlines.
- Brings a positive mental attitude to daily tasks and becomes a net contributor to overall morale.
- Strategic thinker with potential and willingness for advancement into International or Global roles (incl mobility) as the company grows.
- 5+ years of experience in presenting and interacting with to C-level and/or executive leadership
- Swedish mother tongue. Fluent in English. Good knowledge of at least one additional Scandinavian language like Danish language is preferred
