About the Role
We are looking for a high‑potential Strategy Consultant / Junior Strategy Manager to strengthen our Nordic Strategy Office at the Matas Group. In this role you will work closely with the VP Strategy and a dynamic team to shape and execute corporate‑level initiatives that drive growth, competitiveness, and long‑term value creation across the Nordics and ensure we realise our strategy of Win the Nordics.
Key Responsibilities
- Structure and deliver strategic analyses (market sizing, competitive landscaping, customer segmentation, financial modelling).
- Develop clear and compelling executive and board‑level presentation materials.
- Support and sometimes lead cross‑functional workstreams—ensuring milestones, resources, and stakeholder alignment are on track.
- Monitor performance of strategic initiatives through KPIs and recommend corrective actions where needed ensuring our group strategy
- Keep a pulse on industry, competitor, and macro‑economic trends relevant to the Nordic markets.
- Facilitate workshops and ideation sessions that engage senior leaders and subject‑matter experts.
- Champion a data‑driven, hypothesis‑led approach throughout the organisation.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1½ – 3 years in a top management consulting firm or in‑house strategy/corporate development role within industry.
- Proven problem‑solving skills and strong quantitative/financial acumen.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with BI tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Danish or Swedish (or another Nordic language) is an big advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Track record of thriving in fast‑paced environments such as retail and juggling multiple priorities.
