Job Description
Are you looking for a hands-on technical role where no two days are the same? We are currently seeking a Service Technician to join our dynamic team at the JGOT Service Center. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our operations, handling the complete refurbishment process of mechanical seals—from receiving and inspection through to assembly, testing, and shipping. You'll also be responsible for warehouse operations, inventory management, and component processing, all while ensuring strict compliance with John Crane’s standards and health & safety policies. Using your mechanical skills and attention to detail, you'll work with both metallic and non-metallic components, operate service machinery, and occasionally provide on-site support to customers. This role is based on our site within Gothenburg working Monday to Friday normal office hours. This is a 6 month fixed term contract.

Key Activities
•Seals refurbishment (receiving, disassembly & cleaning, inspection & analysing, reporting, assembly, testing, packing, shipping)
•Warehouse goods in and out, goods stocking and picking, inventories, stock order
•Assembly and repair of mechanical seals and related cartridges in accordance with John Crane drawings and specifications, including the use of locally produced metallic components and the repair of metallic and non-metallic components as needed.
•Basic manual processing of components when necessary.
•Lapping, polishing, and cleaning as needed, following predefined standard procedures.
•Maintenance management of equipment and service machinery.
•Handling incoming and outgoing inventory movements.
•SAP transaction management for independent processing of sales/service orders, from receipt to invoicing.
•Operational activities following John Crane standards, procedures, and policies.
•Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards according to company policies.
•Field Service: working at the customer site to be required
Qualifications
- Vocational school or equivalent.
- Fluent in Swedish & English
- must hold a drivers licence
- Experience with maintenance of mechanical seals/centrifugal pumps or comparable experience within the process industry.
- Understand technical drawings
- Familiarity with working on site in the Pulp&paper/Oil&Gas/Petrochemical/Mining environment
- Customer-service oriented
