Overview
This role focuses on discovering improvements tied to the sportsbook platform in Betsson Group. The role plays a key part in investigating new markets, regulations, and feasibility, to drive informed decisions in SB. The role will also seek to explore opportunities tied to improving the Core Foundation of our SB platform with regards to platform capabilities and performance.
Responsibilities
• Lead discovery work, conducting in-depth investigations into new market opportunities, regulatory requirements, and feasibility analysis.
• Collaborate with internal sportsbook teams, legal, compliance, and procurement to facilitate smooth market entry.
• Proactively identify evolving requirements in SB in Betsson’s key jurisdictions together with Compliance counterparts.
• Follow the regulatory landscape in Italy specifically for SB, identifying necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
• Together with value stream PMs & POs help accelerate discoveries related to the Sportsbook platform. E.g. concerning performance demanding topics such as bet placement, settlement and cashout
• Serve as a positive influence and catalyst within the SB product platform, fostering collaboration across the organization.
• Continuously benchmark the SB platform against platform relevant metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Contribute to overall product direction of the SB platform
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Product Manager within the sportsbook or gaming industry.
• Strong expertise in discovery work, requirements gathering, feasibility analysis with the ability to make relevant trade-offs to balance quality vs effort
• Previous Experience from working on back-end heavy & performance sensitive applications
• Understanding of regulations and compliance, with experience navigating market entry and licensing requirements. Experience working with Italy's gambling regulations is beneficial
• Strong collaboration & communication skills, working effectively with tech teams/architects, commercial stakeholders, and compliance experts.
• Data & Metrics driven ways of working with proven experience to deliver high impact projects with tangible product outcomes.
