Join Einride's Autonomous Vehicle Hardware team as an EDS Harness Designer to be a pivotal part of our lean and agile Autonomous Vehicle Hardware team. and drive innovation in autonomous operations.
This isn't your typical design role. We need someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves, and can confidently drive decisions from concept to production. What you will do:
- End-to-End Harness Design: Own the complete electrical distribution system (EDS) harness design, from schematic creation to 3D routing and manufacturing drawings, primarily utilizing CATIA / 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Decision-Making & Innovation: Proactively make critical design decisions, select and evaluate electromechanical components, and contribute significantly to our electrical system development strategies.
- Hands-On & Problem Solving: Dive into hands-on work, including building wiring harness prototypes and applying reverse engineering techniques to optimize existing systems.
- Manufacturing Support: Provide crucial support to our in-house manufacturing team, ensuring seamless integration of your designs into our autonomous vehicles.
- Documentation & Collaboration: Create and maintain precise documentation in CATIA, and collaborate closely with a passionate team to push the boundaries of autonomous technology.
What you bring:
We're looking for a seasoned professional with a strong blend of technical expertise and a proactive, startup mindset.
- Expertise in EDS Harness Design: Documented experience in wiring harness design and electrical schematics, with a strong preference for automotive industry experience.
- CATIA / 3DEXPERIENCE Mastery: Proven proficiency in CATIA for both schematic harness design and 3D modeling, with specific experience in 3DEXPERIENCE being a significant advantage.
- Hands-On & Prototyping: Demonstrated know-how in building wiring harness prototypes and a natural inclination for hands-on work and troubleshooting.
- Reverse Engineering Skills: Experience with or a strong aptitude for reverse engineering to understand and improve existing systems.
- Problem Solver & Decision Maker: A curious, creative mindset with a strong technical interest and the ability to make decisive choices with limited resources.
- Startup Ready: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, lean environment where initiative and autonomy are highly valued.
Bonus points for:
- Experience with concept design and early project phases.
- Previous work on autonomous vehicles
This is a full-time position based at our office in Gothenburg. Of course, we have a modern and hybrid set-up that allows you to partly work from home but our expectations is that you also are present at our office in Gothenburg.
