We are on the lookout for a commercially focused, analytically driven leader to take the helm of our Analytics function at LeoVegas Group. This role will sit at the intersection of data, business transformation, and strategic decision-making.
You will be responsible for leading and scaling our Analytics team, ensuring excellence in data-driven insights that influence key areas across Sports, Casino, Acquisition, Retention, and beyond. As a senior voice in the organisation, you’ll partner with peers across departments to champion a culture of curiosity, performance, and precision. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Own and evolve the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Business Intelligence & Analytics function, ensuring it directly supports and accelerates the Group's commercial objectives.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the executive team and senior leadership, translating complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations that drive P&L impact.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing, multi-locational team of BI and analytics professionals. Foster a culture of analytical curiosity, accountability, and continuous professional development.
- Proactively identify and investigate commercial opportunities and risks through exploratory analysis, providing the business with a competitive edge in areas such as player behaviour, product performance, and marketing effectiveness.
- Embedded a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organisation, empowering departments like Sports, Casino, Marketing, and Product with self-service capabilities and expert analytical partnership.
- Spearhead the modernisation of our analytics stack and processes. Evaluate and implement new tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and the depth of our insights.
- Establish and champion robust data governance and data quality frameworks to ensure that analytics are built upon a trusted, single source of truth, in collaboration with the Data Platform Teams.
Manage the department's budget, including technology licensing, resources, and training, ensuring optimal ROI on our analytics investments.
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
5+ years of experience in analytics leadership roles, with strong exposure to both strategic and operational responsibilities.
- Deep domain expertise in the iGaming industry is essential, with significant hands-on or leadership experience within either Sports or Casino verticals (both highly preferred).
- Exceptional commercial acumen with a proven ability to connect data insights to financial outcomes, such as revenue growth, player lifetime value (pLTV), and ROI.
- A demonstrable track record of leading strategic data initiatives and business transformation projects, evolving teams from reactive reporting to proactive, insight-driven partnerships.
- Exceptional ability in presenting data and crafting compelling narratives., capable of influencing C-level executives and diverse stakeholders by translating complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives.
- Strategic understanding of modern data ecosystems, including data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery), BI and visualisation tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI), and the principles of analytical engineering.
Highly structured way of working with a focus on process optimisation and long-term sustainability.
NICE TO HAVES
Direct experience with marketing analytics, including user acquisition (e.g., CPA, channel optimisation) and customer retention/CRM strategies.
- Experience operating effectively within a multi-brand, multi-jurisdictional corporate structure.
- A background in formal or practical change management, successfully guiding teams and stakeholders through shifts in technology, process, or strategy.
Willingness to relocate to Malta (if not already based in Malta or Stockholm).
