Objective of Job:


As CEO (f/m/d) of smart Sweden, you will lead the strategic, operational, and financial management of the national entity, fully aligned with smart Europe GmbH’s vision. Your focus will be on driving sustainable business growth through organizational leadership, operational excellence, legal compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

You will develop the local market strategy, oversee all business functions (Sales, After Sales, Finance, HR), and ensure profitability with full P&L responsibility. As the brand’s key representative in Sweden, you’ll foster strong partnerships and lead the transformation toward digitalization and future mobility solutions, while cultivating a high-performing team culture.


Task Description:


Organizational Management

  • Align smart vision, mission, values with smart Europe GmbH
  • Define and drive long- and short-term goals with Region Europe
  • Implement policies for operational and financial effectiveness
  • Foster a positive atmosphere and agile team structure
  • Lead, evaluate, and empower team performance
  • Drive digitalization and new business models (Change Management)
  • Ensure compliance with national laws and internal guidelines

Business Operations

  • Drive business strategy aligned with company goals
  • Oversee operations and ensure strategic execution
  • Align pricing with Region Europe across all channels
  • Manage dealer relations and annual negotiations
  • Ensure brand consistency per company vision
  • Monitor performance and advise on business direction
  • Lead national Sales Team (B2C, B2B, Used Cars)
  • Ensure After Sales Excellence with regional aftersales Team and the co-operating
  • Business Units of the European Daimler organization
  • Optimize stock and sales forecasts with the European logistics team SE

P&L & Risk Management

  • Own national P&L and annual business plan in alignment with smart Europe GmbH
  • Manage budgets and drive cost efficiency if needed
  • Review financial and non-finacial reports and identify improvements
  • Assess and minimize operational and strategic risks for business operations and future business prospects

Management Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports (performance, operations, P&L, risks, strategy) with Finance
  • Evaluate long-term growth initiatives, market development, new strategies, and regulatory impacts; provide recommendations

Representation

  • Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact to service
  • providers, dealers/agents and management.
  • Serve as the company’s spokesperson in media and public events across Sweden
  • Represent the company in civic and professional associations to boost reputation
  • Establish, manage, and continuously optimize the strategic partner network

Qualification:


Education

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related field
  • MBA or executive education in leadership, strategy, or international business is a strong plus

Professional Experience

  • 8+ years executive leadership in international business
  • Proven P&L ownership and operational execution
  • Experience in automotive, mobility, digital commerce, or related sectors
  • Knowledge of retail and agency models, B2C and B2B (fleet/leasing)
  • Skilled in leading cross-functional teams and driving transformation

Knowledge / Functional Expertise

  • Strategic and operational management, including business planning and execution
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and mobility trends
  • Solid grasp of financial management (budgeting, forecasting, cost control, risk analysis)
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in Sweden (labor law, compliance, ESG, health & safety)
  • Experience in managing dealer/agent relationships and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with digital sales platforms, CRM systems, and data-driven decision-making
