Punchlist / Walkdown Coordinator

Job Overview:

Reports to the Pre-commissioning Manager and responsible for coordinating the scheduling and coordinating of Discipline Walk Downs with Construction, Commissioning and Client. Ensures a Consolidated Punch List is generated for entry into the Project’s selected Completions Management System in accordance with the Completions Plan. Also, responsible for coordinating the walk down and maintaining punch list items data integrity in Project’s selected Completions Management System.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for categorizing the punch list items in accordance with Completions Plan and then issuing regular status reports to the site team throughout the various phases of the project
• The Walkdown Coordinator to manage, plan and attend all Pre and Post Walk Down meetings to ensure a Consolidated Punch List is generated
• The Punchlist Coordinator is the gatekeeper for verifying the legitimacy of punch list before they are entered into the Completions Management System
• The Punchlist Coordinator also be responsible for coordinating with Commissioning Manager for reclassification of punch items at each stage of the project completion
• Interface with the Sub-contractors on site for all Pre-commissioning activities
• Work collaboratively within the Project team and with Client to maintain positive relationships.
• Liaise with the Completions Lead to ensure all records are entered into the completions database and validation of the data
• Review and understand the Completions Plan for the project
• Interface with the Subcontractors, Vendors and Third Parties on site for all Punch list activities
• Interface with the Subcontractors, Vendors and Third Parties on site for all planned Walkdown activities
• Plan daily activities based on schedule requirements, procedures, and available work fronts

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Preferably a diploma in Engineering or Information Technology
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within an organization as a completions specialist / coordinator
• Have Punchlist / Walkdown experience on at least 3 EPC projects in the Oil & Gas Industry, Power Industry, or in Steel Industry
• The project is in the Green Steel Market, and located near Boden, Sweden
• Knowledge of Completions Management System is preferred
• Experience with one of more of the following completions systems would be beneficial: PCMS Pro, PIMS, MC Plus, ICAPS or ProCoSys and other Completions Management Systems will be considered
• Understanding of key Engineering drawings such as P&IDs, SLDs, I&C architecture, telecom block diagrams, unit plot plans, etc.
• Demonstrate a broad technical knowledge of construction, commissioning and completion activities
• Able to effectively communicate technical solutions and concepts to other engineers and non-engineers
• Must have good computer software skills in MS Office suite as a minimum
• Must have good organizational skills and be adaptable to the needs of various discipline groups
• Must have the ability to assess and communicate project requirements and expectations in a clearly defined, positive and productive manner
• Proficiency in English, Multi-language skills are a plus
• Has a valid driver’s license (for Sweden or easy transferable)
