Want to be part of transforming road freight – for good? Einride is showing the world a new way to move, based on the latest digital, electric and autonomous technologies. Through freight capacity as a service, we enable businesses around the world to accelerate towards their sustainability goals.
Founded in 2016, Einride became the first company in the world to deploy a cab-less autonomous electric vehicle on a public road (Sweden, 2019). In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a US public road. Today our award-winning technology has been launched across 8 countries (and counting). Our clients are some of the world’s biggest shippers, including Fortune 500 companies. We are also operating Sweden’s largest truck dedicated public charging network and counting.
Your mission when joining the design team at Einride will be to work with the Einride product ecosystem, develop and refine design concepts, with a focus on creating products and experiences that embody Einride’s vision of sustainable, future-forward freight solutions.
You will:
Prepare various 2D and 3D materials like sketches, visualisations, CAD models, and customer journey maps to effectively communicate design concepts. Also, define and apply colors, materials, and finishes (CMF) that strengthen our brand and product experience, and maintain CMF and brand guidelines to ensure consistency.
- Collaboration: Working closely with engineers, suppliers, product managers, and brand designers to ensure design concepts are feasible and coherent.
- Research & Documentation: Conducting benchmark studies and research to inform design decisions, and providing detailed design documentation and specifications to development teams.
- Advocacy & Presentation: Representing the needs of the end-user throughout the design process and presenting design directions during internal and external reviews.
We expect you to:
Have a couple years of professional experience from similar roles. We believe you have an excellent sense of form and a strong portfolio to showcase your design skills. You should also be an outstanding communicator and collaborator, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can continuously develop meaningful ideas and create a real impact for our users.
- Education: A BA/MA in Industrial Design or an equivalent degree.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in 3D & CAD tools (e.g., Rhino, Blender), rendering software (e.g., Keyshot, Blender), and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Bonus Qualifications: It would be a plus if you have an interest in digital products, including UI/UX and graphic design, and are proficient in Figma. An understanding of manufacturing techniques and a passion for sustainability and innovative design are also highly valued.
This is a full-time temporary contract, with an expected duration of 12 months, to cover a parental leave based in Stockholm or Gothenburg. The start date is expected to be in the beginning of October. You will be part of a truly diverse, high performing team with a common passion for sustainability and making things happen in an innovative way. We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible since selection and interviews are held continually.
At Einride, we are innovators, building solutions the world has never seen before – but urgently needs. That’s why we take action, and it’s why we are always eager to be challenged. We know that our best innovations come from having a diverse mix of people, including those of different experiences, career paths, and walks of life.
