We are seeking a skilled and experienced HR Manager (Generalist) to join our Human Resources team in Sweden. In this role, you will primarily support the Sweden entity while also contributing to the broader Human Resources Generalist needs across the Europe North Human Resources Organisation.
As an HR Manager (Generalist), you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day HR operational functions within a large and complex market. The ideal candidate will be highly process-oriented and possess a strong understanding of local labor laws and consultation requirements. Experience in managing reorganizations and ensuring compliance with relevant legal frameworks is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update HR policies and practices to ensure compliance with Swedish labor law and other relevant regulations.
- Partner with the wider HR Ecosystem to ensure Swedish compliance and employee experience delivery.
- Support various projects and initiatives, such as onboarding changes, acquisitions, policy & process related changes.
- Facilitate HR governance processes and maintain accurate HR information across the organization (e.g., immigration, mobility, offer governance).
- Work collaboratively and pro-actively with the business and worker councils and union representatives and support statutory and compliance requirements creating trusted working relationships.
- Represent Sweden as part of the wider EMEA ONEHR team identifying needs, developing plans, and implementation thereof.
- Represent HR in compliance and governance committees and collaborate with stakeholders including Finance, Payroll, Procurement, and Legal.
- Delivering data driven business insights on HR related projects to business leaders, as and when required, creating efficient and automated reports to guide policy.
- Be the main contact for crisis management and business continuity planning, such as emergency response, disaster recovery, and employee well-being programs.
- Develop and manage employee engagement programs and activities, including resource groups and well-being initiatives.
- Act as a coach to managers who need leadership guidance and accountability to maintain a high performance culture.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources (HR), Legal, Business, Psychology, or related field AND extensive experience with HR or related experience (e.g., hiring, training, performance management) involving applicable employment laws and policies
- OR equivalent experience.

Expert knowledge of Swedish union negotiations, operating in an international or matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated competency in Swedish Labor law, HR policies, and compliance requirements (such as GDPR, health & safety, benefits, and local documentation).
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and influence leaders, employees, and external partners.
- Collaborative, proactive, and solution-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Swedish and English communication.
