We are now looking for a dedicated and experienced
Data Governance Specialist
- Automotive Business
to join our Data, AI & Integration team. In this strategic IT role, you will help shape and operationalise our data governance framework, ensuring data quality, consistency, and alignment with business goals across the organisation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Governance Framework Development
- Expanding and implementing the data governance framework, including AI governance and other emerging areas.
- Defining and enforcing governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure regulatory and security compliance.
Data Catalogue and Metadata Management
- Leading the implementation and ongoing management of a data catalogue to enhance data discoverability and accessibility.
- Overseeing metadata management to support data quality and usability across the organisation.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Partnering with Data Owners, Data Architects, and other stakeholders to monitor and improve data quality.
- Ensuring governance initiatives align with business needs through close collaboration with IT and business units.
- Promoting data literacy by delivering training and support across the organisation.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensuring adherence to data management standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting data risk assessments and contributing to data privacy and protection initiatives.
Qualifications
- Documented experience in data governance, data management, or equivalent
- Proficiency in data modelling, requirements management, and documentation standards.
- Experience with data governance tools and platforms supporting master and reference data management.
- Strong project and product management capabilities.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Some additional information
This position has a global scope and could be located at any of our main Automotive sites (Bangalore (India), Shanghai (China), Airasca (Italy), Cajamar (Brazil) or Gothenburg (Sweden).
