About the Role
Nasdaq is opening a new, tech-forward broadcast studio and event space in our Stockholm office—and we’re looking for a hands-on Studio Manager to lead its day-to-day technical operations. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a high-impact environment supporting live events like IPOs and bell ceremonies, working closely with our global production teams and in-house event partners.
You’ll be the go-to person for all things AV and broadcast tech in the space, ensuring smooth execution of internal and external productions. While this role doesn’t require people management experience, you’ll coordinate contractors and collaborate with vendors, the events team, and technical specialists.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and operate studio and event space technology, including cameras, digital signage, house audio, and AV systems.
- Provide technical direction and support during live productions and events, with the capability to independently manage less-complex events.
- Coordinate with contractors and external vendors.
- Maintain and troubleshoot AV and broadcast equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop comprehensive documentation and workflows for studio operations.
- Collaborate with the Events Manager and Nasdaq’s global production teams to ensure successful event execution.
Who You Are
- AV and event experience: You have hands-on experience in AV environments (not necessarily broadcast), and you’re comfortable with operating audio boards, video routing/switching, managing mics, and supporting digital signage.
- Technically skilled: You understand digital workflows, encoding systems, and signal flow. Experience with systems like Crestron, Lutron, DMX, and LED walls is a plus.
- Client-facing: You’re confident working with stakeholders and external partners.
- Proactive & adaptable: You are curious, thrive in dynamic environments and can prioritize effectively.
- Collaborative: You enjoy working with cross-functional teams and supporting live events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Broadcast Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding and ability to troubleshoot digital workflows, encoding systems, and signal flow.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work outside of business hours based on event schedules.
- Hands-on working knowledge in AV environments and master control/uplink systems, including graphics, tickers, and encoding.
- Experience of working in a real-time environment.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
What do we offer you
- Interesting work with friendly colleagues from the Baltics and Nordics, who are willing to share their extensive experience
- Unlimited access to e-learning platforms, offering continuous and extensive learning opportunities
- Internal Mentorship program - learn from an employee you look up to
- Nasdaq's Flex Day program (additional 6 paid leave days a year)
- Annual monetary bonus and other benefits such as sports club membership compensation
- Comfortable and modern working environment.
