Strategic Product Manager/Head of Product Management - Tietoevry Banking (m/f/d)


We are looking for a Strategic Product Manager who wants to be part of Tietoevry Banking. Tietoevry Banking is the leading financial services software and solution partner in the Nordics. We offer modular, pre-integrated banking as a service solutions and market-leading software for core, payments, credit, cards, financial fraud, and wealth. With our scale, expertise, and specialization, we empower financial institutions to enhance agility, efficiency, and accelerate digital transformation.


When joining Tietoevry Banking you will work on:

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and mid-term/long-term strategy that aligns with the company's overall Strategy, objectives and market trends. Define target customers, licensing and pricing models to address predictable long-term revenue flow. Define complementary services to support successful implementation and maintenance, ensure additional revenue flow.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, regulatory changes and customer needs, providing input and recommendations for strategic decisions for mid-term and long-term initiatives. Identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
  • Roadmap Development: Ability to translate market needs and business opportunities to a strategic roadmap and balance long/short-term needs. Create and maintain a high-level product roadmap that outlines key milestones, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring alignment with business priorities. Address product lifecycles, including planning sunsetting and migration strategies. Define innovation inception approaches. Plan portfolio modernization to fit market needs, ensure future growth and competitive costs.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, partners, and industry influencers to create new business opportunities. Participate, present and be influencer in conferences, industry workgroups. Build relationships with industry stakeholders globally. Demonstrate cultural awareness and the ability to adapt product strategies to various regional requirements.
  • Stakeholder management: Collaborate closely with the sales team and engage with other departments, including engineering, marketing, project management and customer teams, to support with sales and ensure successful product development and launch. Cooperate cross-units in Cards and Transaction Banking and other units in Banking.
  • Customer Insights: Prepare and present vision, pitches, and presentations to existing and potential clients and partners, effectively communicating the value proposition. Gather and analyze customer feedback and usage data to inform product decisions and enhance user experience.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement, ensure data-based decision making. Keep accountability on product/service profitability. Align models and use cross unit template and processes.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies for product launches and updates. Collaborate with Security, Compliance and Privacy teams to identify market or country potential risks and opportunities.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful product delivery and adoption.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to product managers and team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.


Who we are looking for:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in product management, with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in Cards and Payments, with a large network of connections with industry experts and decision-makers.
  • Familiarity with European and Nordic customers.
