About Merchant Group:
Merchant group comprises Merchant Core, Growth, Operations Management, New Business sub-groups containing 25+ teams . These are cross-functional teams built with different skill sets, and we expect product engineers to collaborate with Data, Design and Product, ensuring we’re fulfilling our Merchants' needs.

In this team, You will own the transformation of the merchant journey by building an integrated, scalable, and state-of-the-art CRM platform to empower frontline teams and enhance operational efficiency by establishing industry best practices automations and ensuring scalability and reliability of the system.

Ownership: Observability and ownership from Kubernetes upwards are very much what we live and breathe. We handle the whole development process (business logic, testing, database & data streaming, CI/CD, analytics, cloud) ourselves in an autonomous manner. Don’t worry, we’re not alone: We have support from central teams when we need help.
Technology: We use modern tools and technologies. Current stack in use: Kotlin (Spring Boot, Ktor), Python (Flask & FastAPI), TypeScript, React, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS, Docker and Kubernetes.
Autonomy: We make the decisions as a team and group of teams! We are free to choose the technology stack and tools and make architectural decisions together. No top-down decisions!
Growth: There is a lot of room for learning, teaching and growing together. We will support you with the tools and materials you need.
Creativity: We’re building lots of new stuff with minimal technical debt, so you can focus on developing new features.
Flexibility: You can choose whether you want to work from home, from the office or hybrid. It’s up to you and we don’t monitor people. We have a dedicated relocation partner to help you move to Finland. If you are currently living in Estonia or Sweden there is no need for you to relocate should you want to work from home but we will help you if you do want to move.

- Drive technical architecture decisions, ensuring robustness, scalability, and performance.

- Identify and implement best practices in software development and system design.
- Design, develop, and customize applications within the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce Pages, Triggers, Workflows, and Approval Processes.
- Stay current with the latest Salesforce features, tools, and best practices to continuously improve the platform and your contributions.
What we’re looking for…
- A problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in application engineering with a proven track record of delivering scalable, distributed systems.
- Strong expertise in Salesforce (or equivalent CRM platform), with hands-on experience in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Marketing Cloud implementations.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Strong experience with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS).
- Experience in designing and delivering systems with a strong compliance focus.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks like React.
- Deep understanding of database design, performance optimization, and system integration.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience with third-party integrations and automation tools, such as Salesforce or Mulesoft, is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a collaborative mindset.
