We're seeking a Senior Accountant to contribute significantly to the financial health and ultimately support the strategic decision-making of our organization in Sweden. You will be a vital part of the Finance team for the Scandinavia region, covering Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, and will report directly to the Head of Finance for the region.

Ready to take on a new challenge?
- Comprehensive financial record management: Oversee all bookkeeping activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date maintenance of financial records, including the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, adhering to established accounting principles.
- Period-end close & reporting: Independently drive efficient month-end and year-end close processes. This includes performing critical account reconciliations, preparing adjusting entries, and generating timely, accurate financial statements and supporting reports for management.
- Compliance & audit: Prepare necessary documentation and actively support internal and external financial audits, ensuring regulatory compliance and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Financial analysis & integrity: Conduct detailed account reconciliations (e.g., bank, intercompany, balance sheet accounts) to identify discrepancies and maintain the integrity of financial data, contributing to reliable financial reporting.
- Process optimization & controls: Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, systems, and internal controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data security within the financial function.
- Supporting strategic financial initiatives: Assist in various financial reporting, analysis, and ad-hoc projects, providing reliable financial insights that support overall business objectives.
Success factors

Minimum 8 years of similar experience, preferably from the software industry and/or IT consulting services.
- Accounting experience in accordance with laws and regulations in Sweden (K3).
- Solid experience of financial statements, accustomed to reconciliations of balance sheets and income statements as well as intercompany transactions.
- Demonstrated experience in independently preparing and submitting annual reports, corporate income tax returns, and other statutory reporting to Swedish authorities (e.g., Skatteverket).
- Strong command in spreadsheets (MS Excel, Google Sheets) and financial software.
- Full professional proficiency in English and in Swedish.
- B. Sc. or M. Sc. in accounting or related field.
Desired skills and qualifications
It would be an added bonus if you have:

Familiarity with accounting regulations in Denmark and/or Norway.
- Experience in Netsuite.
- Prior experience in SaaS or IT consulting sector.
