Purpose of Role:
The Director of Sales Trade Business will be responsible for managing sales and customer relationships within the Trade Customer category. This includes wholesalers, distributors, retailers, agents, and e-commerce platforms. The role requires a strategic approach to managing customer points of sale and maintaining framework / rebate agreements to align with the distribution strategy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the trade sector, including the dynamics of distribution and wholesaler channels and strategies. This position also involves identifying new business opportunities, managing complex sales cycles, and ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and support.

Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for the Trade Business category, focusing on growth and market penetration.

Manage relationships with wholesalers, distributors, retailers, agents, and e-commerce platforms, ensuring their needs are met with tailored solutions.

Ensure alignment with the distribution strategy and maintain framework & rebate agreements, providing technical support and guidance as needed.

Performance Monitoring – to track team and customer performance giving timely feedback and setting clear expectations. Maintain good Motivation and Morale with AW Trade Sales team (High Performance Culture)

Sales Process Improvement – both externally and internally drive tools, processes and technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness of team. Work closely with Sales support/Operations/factory/IT to achieve these improvements in both order management and quotation process. (Overall “A” Customer Experience)

Forecasting for “Flash” process for sales and order intake and supervising sales pipeline and motivating good use of Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management).

Collaborate with the Large Projects team to manage exceptions and revenue splits, fostering a collaborative approach to account management.

Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve business objectives and drive performance.

Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry developments. Develop growth strategies and plans, identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs.

Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Follow industry trends locally and internationally, reporting on successes and areas needing improvements.
