As a Recruiter at Heart Aerospace, you’ll help build the team that’s building the future of flight. This role is rooted in pipeline generation, with a focus on sourcing and engaging outstanding early-career and experienced talent across engineering, operations, and corporate functions.
You’ll identify rising stars on college campuses, uncover hidden gems across the aerospace ecosystem, and bring them into the fold with clarity, care, and conviction. This is a hands-on sourcing and outreach role that’s equal parts strategic and scrappy, working in close partnership with hiring managers to build high-performing teams as we scale.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Proactively build candidate pipelines using outbound outreach, networking, referrals, events, and talent databases.
- Develop sourcing strategies tailored to role types and markets, with an emphasis on passive candidate engagement.
- Track and report sourcing data to inform hiring plans and improve conversion metrics, ensuring and maintaining alignment with team needs and priorities.
- Stay attuned to the aerospace, climate tech, and engineering talent landscape, particularly in Southern California.
Early career & university programs:
- Drive Heart Aerospace’s early-career talent strategy through campus outreach, career fairs, and relationship-building with top regional universities and technical programs.
- Build long-term connections with professors, career services, student groups, and research programs.
- Own portions of intern and new grad recruitment cycles, including pipeline management and pre-boarding support.
- Help develop candidate experiences that convert top students into future leaders at Heart
Candidate experience & coordination:
- Serve as an early touchpoint for candidates, building relationships that reflect Heart’s mission and culture.
- Partner closely with hiring managers and the People team to align search priorities and outreach tactics by understanding job requirements, team dynamics, and role expectations.
- Maintain clean records of sourcing activity and talent engagement to guide decision-making.
- Support interview scheduling and coordination as needed.
- Conduct initial resume reviews, phone screens, and assessments to evaluate candidate qualifications and interests, presenting shortlisted candidates to hiring managers with detailed summaries and insights.
Brand ambassador & storytelling:
- Represent Heart Aerospace at events, info sessions, and community forums as a visible advocate for our mission.
- Contribute to the development of recruiting content and promotional material for Heart.
- Amplify Heart’s presence among the next generation of aerospace and climate talent, promoting a positive, respectful, and engaging experience for all applicants.
