Description & Requirements
The Frostbite Quality Analyst (Quality Designer is the official role name) will report to the Development Director and will oversee multiple areas to ensure the software meets our partners expectations, which includes the following: supporting engineers with testing activities, setting and aligning on test strategies and goals, monitoring test coverage and evaluating the quality of targeted test items. You will be the organizational expert in software testing, the voice of quality for an assigned feature, area or project. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days/week onsite at DICE's Stockholm location.
The team
The Quality Analyst will be embedded in the Rendering team. Rendering is the team dedicated to delivering market-leading visual quality in games, powered by our world-class rendering technology. Our experts collaborate to push the boundaries of graphics and visual fidelity, ensuring unforgettable experiences for players across EA's portfolio.
Responsibilities:
You'll provide Release Support including triaging incoming issues, ensuring they have the necessary information to be actionable, reproducing the bugs and validating bug fixes
You'll work on New Feature Testing including learning about expected behaviours and Quality indicators, test plans, creating test scenarios
You'll identify and document any issues or discrepancies found during testing
You'll compare bugs, analyze call stacks, and work with the development team for resolution
You'll monitor escaped defects, identify gaps in our test coverage and areas of frequent breakages, monitor our tests on the farm to identify unstable tests
What is Frostbite QA looking for?
Qualifications:
Experience writing and executing test cases for game engines or similar software
Familiarity with testing tools and techniques for performance and stability
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work with cross-functional teams
Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of gaming platforms such as PC, consoles, and mobile devices
Experience with performance measurement and optimization
