Our overarching goal is to understand how both biological and non-biological immune stimuli, such as immunotherapies and environmental pollutants affect cellular behaviour and immune activation. Your primary responsibility will be the development and optimization of an ex vivo precision-cut tissue slice model, using tonsillar tissue. This model will be used to assess immune responses to various agents, including nanoplastics and immunomodulatory proteins. Your tasks will include cell and tissue culture, precision-cut tissue slicing and maintenance, multiparametric flow cytometry, ELISA and RNA sequencing, and data analysis related to immune profiling.
