Background:
Installation and configuration of nodes (STP) is crucial as it involves handling node supply and support flow within our customers' Test Lab support and operation. The individuals assigned to this assignment will be responsible for capturing and analysing requirements, updating databases, configuring nodes, attaching user equipment (UE) and simulators, conducting acceptance tests, and providing support for raised requests. The assignment is necessary to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the node and test environment
The assignment's scope in the handling of supply and support requests includes below enlisted activities, but not limited to:
- Being able to understand & Analyze the requirements
- Ordering necessary hardware and components and find existing equipment to maximise the reuse and cost efficiency.
- Database update
- Node Configuration
- Attach and configure simulators and control units
- Verification (Run acceptance tests and verifying setup)
- Support
Additional responsibilities:
- Communicate to stakeholders
- Handling JIRA
- Coordinate and secure activities required for on-time delivery
- Troubleshooting
Required competence:
Team members are expected to possess excellent Telecom knowledge, specifically on 3G, 4G and 5G Radio Access Network (RAN).
- Deep Knowledge of 3GPP protocols, and L1, L2 and L3 signaling of telecom requirement.
- E2E RAN traffic testing skills, including hands-on knowledge of RAN configuration, UE control and log reading, RF troubleshooting.
- Skills with test tools, including various internal tools and Vector Spectrum Analysers and Signal Generators.
- Knowledge of single server gNodeB deployment and its surrounding components.
- Deep understanding of test environment design, including test components, auxiliary materials like SFPs and cables, and combiners.
- Knowledge of routing and switching.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux implementation and troubleshooting
- Experiences in functional verification and feature testing of RAN products.
- Experience in lab operation
- Proactive, Quick Learning of new knowledge, and ability to drive complicated troubleshooting cases.
Meriting:
Previous experience at Ericsson or on Ericsson-related projects is considered a strong advantage.
