We are seeking a consultant who can begin at the earliest possible date. The assignment length will be between 6–9 months depending on the candidate’s profile. Ideally, the person will be located in Stockholm and is available to work onsite a few days per week.
This temporary role is within an IT procurement team and is needed to support the team through a transition period. The work will include managing upcoming major contract negotiations as well as handling regular contract renewals.
In this position, you will be responsible for supporting IT contracts connected to the Group Technology and R&D Department, as well as software agreements overseen by the Software Asset Management team. During Q3 and Q4, you will take the lead on several significant renewals with major software suppliers, working closely with key stakeholders.
As a member of a team of four IT Category Managers, you will also contribute to the team’s broader activities. This includes preparing reports, maintaining clear communication, collaborating on sourcing strategies, and playing an active role in the function’s ongoing development.
Description
- Take responsibility for your own IT sourcing activities.
- Oversee IT contracts covering group-level applications, as well as organisation-wide IT infrastructure, software, and cloud services.
- Ensure that all contracts are prepared in line with applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Share and communicate relevant contract-related information within the organisation.
- Participate in both internal and external governance processes.
- Provide support to the business and contribute to operational improvements.
- Make sure IT contracts are aligned with strategic objectives, compliance requirements, and the organisational setup.
- Maintain transparency so that the financial aspects of IT contracts are clear and well-documented, including the financing and accounting methods, in accordance with the approved model.
- Support vendor management within the IT function.
- Lead initiatives within your scope of responsibility, including supplier governance and supplier development activities.
Requirements
- University degree or similar
- Proven track record of successful negotiations with global software suppliers, eg. Microsoft
- 5-10 years of working experience, ideally in complex organizations
- Experience on strategic development of IT sourcing
- Experience of working with Microsoft solutions
- Overall excellent IT sourcing experience, with several years of exposure to world class IT procurement, or a strong genuine interest in the area including dealing with global accounts
- Excellent people and communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders cross-functionally
- Self-motivated with experience in managing projects always keeping in mind business strategy and priorities
- A strong personal drive and commitment to deliver results on time while being a cooperative and enthusiastic team-player
- Fluent in English, both in conversation and in writing is a must
- Experienced and skilled in business tools related to analysis, presentation etc.
- Availability to travel within Sweden and internationally (approximately 30 days per year)
