About the Role
As part of our commitment to innovation and IP protection, Munters is expanding its internal Patent Department. We're looking for an experienced In-house Patent Attorney who will play a key role in managing and strengthening our patent portfolio. You will collaborate with inventors, internal stakeholders, and external patent agencies to ensure our technologies are protected and aligned with the company’s business strategy.
Your Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Manage and evaluate invention disclosures
Work closely with inventors across various departments
Collaborate with our Patent Researcher on patentability and freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses
Act as rapporteur in the Patent Board for invention evaluations and application decisions
Provide instructions to external patent agencies
Oversee the drafting and prosecution process of patent applications
Optionally, draft patent applications in-house
Your Profile
Certified European Patent Attorney and/or national Patent Attorney (e.g. Swedish)
Academic background in Physics or Mechanical Engineering (preferably in Applied Thermodynamics, Energy or Cooling Technology)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a patent attorney role: In-house at an industrial company, at a patent law firm or as an examiner at a national or regional patent office
Strong communication and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Fluent in written and spoken English
Knowledge of Swedish, Chinese, or Japanese is a strong advantage
