JOB DESCRIPTION
Have you previously worked as a Group Design Leader (GDL) or Engineering Task Leader (KU) in the automotive industry? Sigma Industry is now looking for a new colleague to join our office at Lindholmen for an intense and challenging interior project.
As a task leader at Sigma, you will have a broad area of responsibility, working together with the rest of the team to drive and lead your components or systems forward in the development process. Your main tasks will be to keep track of timeline, cost, technology, and quality. The work is carried out in an international environment in close collaboration with suppliers, purchasing, design, manufacturing, and project office.
A key part of your daily work will be to participate in sourcing of new suppliers, where you take full ownership of both your areas of responsibility and the team’s shared goals. To succeed in this role, we expect that you are experienced in working according to the VPDS process and have previously been involved in sourcing and procurement activities.
You are driven, take responsibility, and have a solution-oriented mindset. You see opportunities where others see problems and act proactively. You enjoy working independently but are also a strong team player. Building relationships and networking with both internal and external stakeholders comes naturally to you.
In this role, you will face new challenges every day – and in return, gain a great opportunity to grow and build valuable experience.
Required experience:
- Experience from leading and launching several automotive projects
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development or equivalent competence
- Experience in sourcing and procurement of complete systems or automotive components
- Knowledge of the VPDS product development process and common development tools such as KDP, Teamcenter, etc.
- Specific knowledge in interior areas such as injection-molded plastic design, comfort systems, sheet metal design or other relevant specialist knowledge is considered a merit
