Global NPI (New Product Introduction) Sourcing Manager
About the role:
As a Global NPI Sourcing Manager, you will play a key role in driving the sourcing activities for new product introductions on a global scale. You’ll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team, working closely with engineering, product development, supply chain, legal and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of components. This is a strategic role with tangible impact – perfect for someone with a strong sourcing background and passion for building supplier partnerships that support successful product launches.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement global sourcing strategies for new product introductions
- Partner with engineering, product, and supply chain teams to align sourcing activities with NPI timelines and goals
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements
- Build strong supplier relationships and ensure early supplier involvement in the development process
- Lead contract negotiations and secure favorable terms and long-term partnerships
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement
- Support risk management by identifying potential supply chain disruptions and implementing contingency plans
- Optimize costs through value engineering, alternative sourcing, and global procurement strategies
- Ensure full compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and technical specifications
- Act as a trusted sourcing expert and contribute to the overall success of new product launches
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering
- 2+ years of proven experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management – ideally in NPI environments
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Excellent analytical thinking and understanding of finance and managerial accounting and technical product requirements
- Solid grasp of global sourcing dynamics, supplier qualification processes, and supply chain principles
- Experience working cross-functionally in complex, fast-paced environments
- Fluent in English; additional language(s) (preferably Swedish) are a plus
- Strategic mindset, structured work approach, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
