Role
As CFO you will guide CorPower Ocean through a time of ambitious growth. You are a key member of the executive team, responsible for our financial strategy, fundraising, accounting, reporting, control and compliance across a multinational organization.
You are a strategic partner to the CEO, shaping the company’s trajectory and ensuring its mission-driven impact is matched by financial strength.

You will drive the highest standards of financial management and guide how the company manages revenues, investments, expenses and cash flow across our operations to meet strategic goals. To support this, you will be working with a kick-ass finance team, and closely cooperate with our senior commercial team, project office and management team.

Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Leadership :
- Serve as a key thought partner to the CEO, contributing to business strategy, decision-making, and company positioning.
- Lead capital raising efforts, from building investment cases to nurturing long-term investor relationships. Secure top-co financing (equity, debt) and wave farm project financing.
- Build the company for a successful IPO in the coming 5-7 years.
Financial Planning, Accounting & Control :
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and capital allocation to support long-term growth .
- Oversee all group finance functions, including accounting, budgeting, cash flow and tax
- Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and control of operations by tracking key metrics.
- Optimize cash flow and treasury operations, balancing risk and return.
Risk & Compliance :
- Lead risk management, assess risks across operations and proactively mitigate them
- Ensure compliance with regulations across multinational internal operations and projects involving external partners.
- Lead audits and due diligence activities.
- Oversee legal functions across jurisdictions, optimizing within compliance boundaries.
Operational Excellence :
- Continuously improve financial systems, models, and performance tracking
- Develop and optimize data-driven decision-making processes to improve cost efficiency and optimize margins.
Skills and Qualifications :
- Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or another relevant field
- 10+ years of finance leadership experience, ideally in deeptech, industrial, or energy.
- Proven success in equity fundraising, project financing and/or IPO/trade sale.
- Natural leader with extraordinary energy and ambition that inspires others.
- Strategic, entrepreneurial thinker capable of assessing markets, identifying opportunities, creating business plans and pitching to potential partners and investors
- Tenacity, attention to detail, and ability to operate at all altitudes
- Experience in group accounting and financial consolidation across international operations
- Highly analytical mindset with ability to distil complex data into key insights,
- Ability to crisply communicate advanced topics in a simple convincing way
- Collaborative personality that excels in relationship building
- Determination and stamina to deliver success in long games like energy
- Skilled in modern tools and methods, able to identify and implement the most suitable systems for efficient finance operations
