ABOUT THE ROLE
As CFO, you will be a member of the Management Team, responsible for the financial leadership of the company. In this role, you are the enabler of the financial insights needed throughout the company to navigate Aarke’s continued profitable growth. You will lead and continue to evolve our finance function to support continued growth, commercial excellence, and operational efficiency across multiple sales channels — including e-commerce, marketplaces, and wholesale/retail.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams in an international and dynamic environment, acting as a strategic partner to the CEO, the Management team, and the Board of Directors.
The Finance team is headed by the CFO and comprises four full-time staff: Head of Accounting, Accountant, Financial Controller, and Business Controller.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Together with your team, your overall responsibilities include:
Strategic Finance & Growth Planning
Financial planning, budget and forecasts and business case development. Being a business partner in the ongoing work on scaling up the business. Provide financial insight and data for decision-making for e.g. market and product expansion.
Global Financial Operations
Lead all accounting, controlling, cash flow-prognosis and related across entities (Sweden, US, UK). Maintain a lean and efficient finance function with a focus on profitable growth.
Data-Driven Decision Support
Elevate our reporting ecosystem by leveraging Excel, Power BI, Dynamics 365 Business Central, BrightAnalytics. Drive transparency and insight across all teams. Produce high quality executive reports.
Governance & Risk
Ensure compliance across jurisdictions. Build relationships with auditors, legal advisors, and banks. Secure the necessary internal controls and governance. Connect and report as needed to stakeholders; customers, suppliers, board, management, banks etc.
Team Leadership
Lead and develop the Finance team. Champion operational excellence and facilitate cross-department collaboration.
YOUR BACKGROUND
- Proven experience as a CFO, VP Finance or similar ideally in a growing consumer goods business with logistics and own inventory.
- Preferably experience in omnichannel retail and direct-to-consumer operations, e-commerce and marketplaces.
- A couple of years of experience in audit, preferably from one of the major accounting firms.
- Experience with international finance, including intercompany structures, transfer pricing, inventory flows, and tax compliance.
- Comfort in financial systems and analytics: Excel modelling, BI tools (preferably Power BI), ERPs, automation platform, and integrations.
- Skilled in managing external relationships; from auditors to investors, banks, customers and suppliers.
- Structured, pragmatic, and strategic - but equally at home rolling up your sleeves when needed.
- Fluency in English and a good level of Swedish.
