Assignment Description
We are currently looking for a Category Manager to join a robotics production team in Västerås. In this role, you will be responsible for managing supplier performance, supporting sourcing strategy, and collaborating globally to ensure a cost-effective and resilient supply chain.
This is a junior-level position ideal for someone with drive, structure, and a proactive mindset, eager to grow within category management and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
Daily management of the supplier base, including performance tracking (on-time delivery, quality, lead time, responsiveness).
Support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for assigned categories.
Conduct commercial negotiations, manage pricing updates, supplier contracts, and documentation in ERP systems.
Contribute to cost optimization and risk mitigation efforts.
Handle sourcing activities related to new product introductions (NPI).
Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as R&D, Quality, and Purchasing, and coordinate globally (primarily with teams in China and the US).
Preferred Experience & Skills
Experience in sourcing, supplier development, and negotiations.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams.
Structured, analytical, and self-motivated with strong communication skills.
