Your role
Are you a self-driven, relationship building and analytical Strategic Purchaser with several years of experience from strategic sourcing? Then you could be what we are looking for to strengthen our growing Procurement organization. We can offer you a challenging and exciting position as a Category Account Manager within one of our categories across Saab Surveillance’s four sites in Gothenburg, Huskvarna, Järfälla and Arboga.
The category team is led by a Category Procurement Manager and consists of five people. As a Category Account Manager, you will work closely with both strategic and operational procurement, contributing to the overall performance and development of the category. You will have a key role in driving long-term improvements, managing supplier relationships, and supporting various business projects with procurement expertise.
Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
- Analyzing the category in detail to develop long-term, cross-project/program/product strategies, aligned with Group Procurement to achieve synergies.
- Monitoring trends across the value chain, providing business intelligence, and evaluating both new and existing suppliers.
- Collaborating with Category Managers across Saab’s Business Areas, developing tools and templates, and coordinating cross-functional cooperation with internal stakeholders.
- Reporting on category KPIs and contributing to their development.
- Representing procurement in product development and other projects to ensure supplier aspects are considered in areas such as requirements, make/buy decisions, and procurement strategies.
- Performing risk assessments and mitigations on category level to ensure performance, supply security, and business continuity.
- Developing a demand forecast for the category based on project and program requirements.
Your profile
To thrive in this position, we believe you have several years of experience working as a Strategic Purchaser or Category Account Manager, with strong knowledge and contacts within the Electronic Components supplier market. Ideally, you have gained this experience in a technically driven organization, though this is not a requirement.
You are an excellent communicator, both in writing and speaking, with a structured approach to your work. You have the ability to focus on details while maintaining a clear view of the bigger picture. You are a proven team leader with a natural ability to see and act on co-relations within Saab supply chain and your category. You demonstrate strong business acumen and always act as an ambassador for Saab.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
