Life Science Underwriter
The opportunity
We are creating a new position to support our growth plan in the Life Science business area.
This will provide you with a chance to be part of a successful organisation with strong growth ambitions combined with the entrepreneurial spirit of a medium local size company.
The position can be based in Stockholm or Copenhagen.
Your new role
- Evaluate risk for new business & renewals to ensure profitable growth.
- Actively keep abreast of market dynamics and demonstrate market cycle awareness.
- Provide senior technical and specialist product expertise to corporate intermediaries/clients.
- Support divisional underwriting function to actively manage talent for succession planning.
- Adhere to underwriting standards, instructions, and good practice to minimise risks.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers, intermediaries, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of channel strategic plans.
- Motivate and develop the team by demonstrating good leadership behaviours.
- Achieve overall local underwriting governance requirements and internal audit standards.
Your profile
- Experience in Life Science or Casualty Underwriting experience or as a broker
- High level of written and spoken English
- Good communicator with strong facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
- Technical report writing skills
