Elekta is recruiting two Software Verification Engineers to the R&D team Engineer to expand the R&D team in our Neuro Business Line and we have opportunities for both new or recent graduates as well as experienced engineers. In this position you’ll be part of the team responsible for developing Leksell GammaPlan®. This position is located at Elekta’s new head office at the heart of Hagastaden in Stockholm, Sweden.
Your team
The Software Verification Engineer is a member of a scrum team responsible for development of the Leksell GammaPlan® product, which is a treatment planning software fully integrated with the Leksell Gamma Knife®. The Leksell Gamma Knife® is a non-invasive, precision stereotactic treatment device used to deliver focused radiation to intercranial targets.
What you’ll do at Elekta
As a Software Verification Engineer your primary responsibility will be verification and continuous test of our products. You will be a member of a cross functional agile scrum team that specifies, develops, and tests the software used for planning of radiation therapy and radiosurgery in a development organization that works according to the SAFe agile methodology.
In this role you will be involved in all the phases of the development process including specifying requirements, test planning, test automation, test execution, defect reporting and writing formal verification reports. We have a focus on test automation using Python and the development and enhancement of our test automation framework.
Medical technology is a highly regulated and process driven industry and therefore a quality mindset is important in all that we do.
Your responsibilities include:
- Automating test cases both for test and verification
- Maintaining and updating our test automation framework
- Designing test cases
- Writing and reviewing test plans and test reports
- Executing manual test cases and performing exploratory testing
- Participating in risk reviews
- Contributing to continuous improvements
- Participate in the cross functional agile scrum teams
The right stuff
To be a suitable candidate for this position we think you are a problem solver who is passionate about helping people through the development of medical technologies. Python programming skills are important, and a good knowledge of Linux is a merit. We think you are a driven and proactive team player with good communication skills who wants to work in an agile development environment.
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, medical technologies or related studies. Our business language is English so good written and spoken communication in English is important.
