Role Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join our Finance IT team and play a vital role in evolving and modernizing our Finance IT landscape. In this role, you’ll partner with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to identify, design, and implement solutions that deliver clear business value while aligning with Scania’s long-term IT strategy.
You’ll be at the forefront of selecting and shaping solutions that improve business processes, enhance scalability, and build a solid foundation for our future digital ecosystem — all while keeping sustainability and efficiency in focus.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, define requirements, and translate them into robust, scalable solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend market-leading solutions and new technologies that support the evolving needs of the Finance domain.
- Design and apply architectural frameworks that align with Scania’s enterprise architecture principles and long-term strategy.
- Ensure consistency and integration across various IT systems, bridging legacy systems with new cloud-based solutions.
- Work closely with related domains, platform architects, and other IT teams to secure end-to-end coherence and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement to ensure that the Finance IT landscape remains modern, reliable, and ready to support future business models.
Who You Are
You’re a strategic, forward-thinking professional with a passion for turning complex challenges into smart, sustainable solutions. You thrive at the intersection of technology and business, and you know how to build strong relationships across teams and domains.
We believe you bring:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect with a focus on cloud technologies (e.g., AWS) and modern IT landscapes.
- Strong ability to work strategically with business stakeholders to define and deliver IT solutions that create real value.
- A track record of evaluating, selecting, and implementing IT solutions and emerging technologies that align with business goals.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide discussions, align stakeholders, and promote architectural best practices.
- Experience working with both standardized IT systems and custom solutions — and the ability to integrate them into a cohesive architecture.
- Bonus if you have knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, other leading ERP systems, or previous experience working within the Finance domain.
