Banking and Coverage owns and leads the management and development of our Client Relationships globally. Our bankers work across the global network together with our product partners to deliver working capital, financing, trade, cash and markets solutions for our clients. The solutions cover a wide range of products and services from sustainable trade finance to credit derivatives to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory.
About Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB)
For more than 170 years we’ve support clients with their transaction banking, financial markets, corporate finance and borrowing needs and provide solutions to nearly 20,000 clients in the world’s fastest-growing economies and most active trade corridors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding client experiences.
- Proactive management of designated portfolio of own accounts as Global Account Manager (GAM)
- Ensure high service level for existing relationships, originate new transactions and cross selling of ideas.
- Introduce network & product teams to the clients to enlarge multi-product and multi-country ratio,
- Regularly engage with the client teams to ensure high service level, origination activity, reporting quality, etc.)
- Understand client needs and requirements as well as buying criteria.
- Maintain an active calling program for covered clients
- Develop and maintain account plans for covered clients
- Achieve agreed revenue: RWA, RoRWA, and objectivities from the portfolio.
- Prospect and onboard new clients together with the wider client tea
- Lead deal teams of Field Account Managers (FAM), Product Partners, other Support Units; coordinate and mobilize resources, and ensure credit or management approvals and support internally to execute timely deals.
- Be an enabler for the FAMs, product partners, and other colleagues across the network to resolve any blockages to originating and winning business.
- Deliver account management and strategic support.
- Use business acumen to negotiate, communicate and influence stakeholder decision making.
- Use your deep industry expertise to provide considered advice.
Skills and Experience
- Product knowledge - Corporate Finance, Markets, Transaction Banking, Sustainable Finance
- Ideally 10+ years’ experience in banking or other relevant environment
- Risk management, financial and credit analysis.
- Experienced in using and adapting to client behaviors and preferences.
- Uses business acumen, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of client onboarding, local market nuances and the regulatory landscape.
- Works effectively with ambiguity, in a dynamic environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking or Finance preferred
