Blykalla is developing the next generation of nuclear technology with our Small Modular Reactor (SMR) based on innovative fuel, materials, and reactor designs. As Sweden’s only SMR developer, we are on a mission to decarbonize industries and enable safe, scalable, and sustainable energy solutions. At Blykalla, we are now seeking two legal counsellors to strengthen our growing team:
Nuclear Lawyer - We are seeking a lawyer with specific experience in nuclear technology assessments and safety issues who can navigate the complex regulatory landscape of nuclear power and support in the permitting processes for our technology.
Corporate Lawyer - We are also seeking a lawyer with a strong background in commercial contract law and corporate law who can support our business activities and growth. In this role you will support in negotiating and drafting contracts, assist in fundraising activities as well as supporting in a variety of transactions as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements,
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, particularly in the energy sector
- Collaborate with various departments to support business objectives and mitigate legal risks
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and industry standards
- Involvement in fundraising activities and procurement
Additional focus areas:
- Nuclear Technology Assessment role: Particular emphasis on nuclear regulatory compliance, licensing processes, and safety assessments under the Nuclear Activities Act
- Commercial Corporate Law role: Particular emphasis on commercial contracts, corporate transactions, and business development support.
You will report directly to the Head of Legal & Regulatory.

Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience as a legal counsel or corporate lawyer, preferably in the energy sector
- Fluent in Swedish and English, with excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
Additional qualifications by role:
Nuclear Technology Assessment and Safety Issues:
- Strong knowledge of regulatory law, particularly nuclear regulations
- Experience with nuclear operations and/or export control highly valued
- Understanding of licensing processes and safety assessments
Commercial Corporate Law:
- Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law
- Experience with investment or fundraising activities
- Proven track record in negotiating commercial contracts
- Experience supporting business development activities
