About the Role
As Head of QA, you will lead our Quality Assurance function across multiple product teams and tech stacks. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for QA, building a scalable and efficient QA team and function across our entire product portfolio.
You’ll be a key driver of our cross-functional quality culture, shaping how we think about risk, usability, testability, reliability, and customer experience. While you’ll lead our QA craft, your mission is broader: to help every team own and elevate the quality of what they build.
You’ll be a critical part of our leadership team in product & tech, working closely with Engineering, Product, and Design to ensure that our customers receive software that is robust, reliable, and delightful to use.
Skills & Requirements
What You Will Do:
- QA strategy & vision: Own and define the QA strategy for our HRM product suite — covering how QA is handled within and across product teams, developers, and QAs. Balance automation, manual, exploratory, performance, and security testing practices.
- Leadership & team building: Lead and grow a team of QAs and QA engineers. Hire, mentor, and develop talent while ensuring strong ownership and accountability. Balance resources across product efforts, promote QA as exploration and critical thinking, build QA mindset across teams, and ensure we have the right skills in place.
- QA process improvements: Continuously improve our QA processes and lifecycle. Work with cross-functional teams to embed quality from early stages (design/requirements) to final product testing.
- AI: Lead adoption of AI tools and agentic capabilities to scale QA beyond team capacity. Use AI for automated testing, data generation, and quality controls throughout development.
- Test automation: Drive the adoption of modern test automation practices across the CI/CD pipeline and in the SLDC; i.e. unit/integration testing, performance & security testing.
- Metrics & reporting: Define and track relevant quality metrics that inform decision-making, such as coverage levels, test reliability, and release readiness - as deemed applicable.
- Compliance & security: Contribute to and support QA activities related to compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) and ensure secure-by-design principles are reflected in QA practices.
What You Will Bring to the Team:
- Proven experience in a senior QA leadership role in a B2B SaaS environment.
- A leader and coach at heart — someone who can build a high-performing team while also inspiring a broader culture of quality.
- Experience managing QA in agile/lean product teams
- Deep understanding of modern software quality management practices, including driving quality culture, shift-left testing, exploratory testing, test automation, TDD/BDD, CI/CD etc.
- Have long experience in the QA field, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, ideally in a continuous delivery environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across engineering, product, and executive stakeholders.
- A strategic thinker who can connect QA outcomes to business goals.
It'll be nice if you also bring:
- Background in HR or HR tech products
- Experience in quality work in an international setting/handling localization and internationalization QA
- Familiarity with performance testing, load testing, and/or security testing.
