About the role
As the Group Privacy Officer, you will be responsible for Aspia Group’s entire privacy and data protection governance framework meaning you will lead and coordinate our activities within this area across all countries ensuring solid compliance to maintain our customers trust while balancing the commercial interest of the business.
You’ll take a central role in further shaping our approach to privacy and data protection regulations with pragmatic and balanced policies and processes to transform regulations into scalable, practical solutions. It is a role that combines operational presence with strategic impact in an international environment. While you’ll have broad autonomy in this role, you’ll also have the support of experienced legal professionals and privacy resources.
In this role, you will be the hub for all privacy and data protection compliance efforts within the group. In detail this includes, inter alia,
- Drafting and implementing policies, routines, and procedures within privacy and data protection, utilizing ready-made materials and drafting new procedures and policies as needed.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining suitable structures ensuring compliance across different businesses and markets, including mechanisms to monitor compliance and adherence to data protection and privacy routines.
- Maintain and develop our internal training
- Monitor new legislation and policies, as well as cooperating with authorities if needed
- Support the business, when needed, with data protection and privacy related assessments such as DPIAs, LIAs, TIAs
- Collaborating with local resources in each country to ensure group-wide data protection standards are met.
About you
We are looking for someone with a law degree and 5–10 years of legal work experience, where you have worked with data protection and privacy matters for most of that time. You have excellent knowledge of GDPR and stay up to date on the development of AI-related legislation and you have a profound interest in these topics. You work fluently in both Swedish and English. Proficiency in Finnish is a merit.
You combine a practical mindset with a solution-driven approach and are able to interpret the intent behind regulations while balancing them with business realities. While you thrive working independently, you also enjoy close collaboration with colleagues and excel in stakeholder management. You like taking ownership, setting structures and getting things done. The role requires a good ability to switch between details and strategic questions and to explain complex issues and risks clearly to different types of stakeholders.
So, to be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:
- Excellent knowledge of GDPR and other data protection and privacy regulations
- Strong legal knowledge and experience working with different types of stakeholders
- Proven experience in drafting and implementing data protection and privacy policies, procedures and structures
- Confidence in navigating complex organizational settings
- Understanding of business operations and the ability to integrate data protection practices with commercial objectives sometimes requiring being able to prioritize.
- Courage to innovate and combine data protection with business needs
- Ability to think creatively and strategically
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams across different countries
Previous experience from in-house roles with responsibility for governance structures is meritorious.

Location: Stockholm. We offer a hybrid way of working – the freedom to work from home when it fits, while valuing the inspiration and teamwork that comes from being together at the office.
Occasional travel to our office in Helsinki will be needed.
Start date: As soon as possible, by agreement.
