Nynas is seeking an experienced Director Internal Audit to build up and lead an independent internal audit function, to strengthen the company’s control framework. In this role you will collaborate across functions and geographies, helping us strengthen processes and drive continuous improvement.
About the Role
As the Director Internal Audit, you will play a key role in assessing and enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, and integrity of Nynas’s operations and risk management. Working closely with colleagues across functions—including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and others—you will propose, organize and lead cross-functional audits and advise on topics of direct concern to senior leadership. Reporting directly to the Nynas Board Audit Committee and administratively to the Group CFO, you will also contribute to the strategic development of the group’s control framework, risk management and organizational improvements.
This role involves planning and executing audits, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with management to implement recommendations. By delivering insights and actionable solutions, you’ll support Nynas’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainability and help make the company more robust.
This is a reinstated role after being vacant for several years as the organization and ways of working have settled following significant changes in 2021/2022 that resulted in the company ownership changing, it pulling out of some overseas assets and markets, and successfully transitioning to a profitable core. As Nynas has recently become a public company again with publicly traded debt, following a bond issue, it is seeking to enhance its control framework further and provide assurance to the board on key focus areas.
The position is based in Stockholm, with occasional travel required.
