We know it, you know it. Most companies ramble on about purpose and making the world a better place. And pretty often it feels a bit… well, forced. But we’d like to think that our story is special for real.

Our founders, Shadi Bitar and Ninos Malki, came to Sweden from Syria when they were kids. Books became their compass, guiding them through the maze of life, and helping them shape their destinies in a new world.

Their dream was bold: What if they could unlock the world of books for everyone, making knowledge and inspiration accessible to all? Fast forward a few years, and the tale of Nextory was born.

At Nextory, we've crafted a revolutionary monthly subscription that empowers our users to devour books like never before, be it through reading or listening. It's not just a product; it's a passport to endless adventure and enlightenment.

Calling all book lovers and curatorial masterminds! We’re on the lookout for a Content Curation Manager for the Nordic markets - someone who’s not only obsessed with books but also knows exactly what our users want to read next. If you're passionate about the world of literature and want to help millions of readers discover their next favorite book, this is the opportunity for you.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As our Content Curation Manager Nordics, you will be the magic behind the booklists in our app. Your mission? To curate and maintain engaging and high-quality book recommendations across Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark. You’ll combine a structured mindset with a deep passion for literature to deliver content that resonates with readers in all four markets.

You will:

- Curate smart, engaging and timely book lists in the Nextory app for our Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, and Danish users.

- Analyze our content and user data to create recommendations that drive engagement and discoverability.

- Collaborate with the rest of the Content Curation team to align on global themes and optimize curation workflows.

- Build and nurture relationships with our publishing partners in the Nordics, keeping your finger on the pulse of the latest releases.

- Monitor content performance and adjust lists to ensure maximum user satisfaction and visibility.

- Stay on top of local trends, literary awards, seasonal events and market movements to ensure that our offering feels fresh and relevant.

- Assist in testing and improving internal tools and processes related to curation.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Tech, and Business Development, to align curation with company goals.

You’ll be part of our Marketing team based in Stockholm, working in a friendly, book-obsessed environment with lots of room for creativity, responsibility, and growth. You report to our Chief Growth Officer.

WHO YOU ARE

You’re a structured and solution-oriented book enthusiast with a knack for spotting the next bestseller. You’re comfortable working independently but love collaborating with others just as much. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy juggling multiple priorities, and bring an analytical eye to your creative decisions.

We think you're currently working with content or editorial tasks in a cultural or digital company - or perhaps at a publisher, library, streaming service, or media house. What matters most is that you bring a genuine love for books, great instincts, and the desire to constantly improve our user experience.

You’re fluent in English and at least one Nordic language, and you feel confident navigating digital tools and systems.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Relevant academic degree (e.g., literature, media, journalism, library science, communications, or similar)

- At least 3 years of relevant work experience

- Excellent knowledge of the Nordic literary landscape – from contemporary fiction to niche gems

- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to plan ahead and work systematically

- Analytical mindset – you're comfortable using data to guide your decision

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Experience in stakeholder management and relationship-building

- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new tools

We will be extra curious if you have:

- Professional experience from the publishing industry or working with digital content platforms

- Speak and write more than one Nordic language

- Experience working with metadata, digital asset management systems, or app interfaces

Please submit your application along with your CV or LinkedIn profile. We’d also love to hear why you think this is the perfect role for you!
