We are seeking a commercially driven Vice President of Hospitality Technology, who will provide strategic and operational leadership for all core business technologies across Strawberry. This pivotal role includes both hotel-facing platforms (such as PMS, housekeeping, payments, and spa systems) and group systems supporting B2B sales, loyalty, martech, HRM, finance, CRS, and Google Workspace.
What you will be doing:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy for both hotel operations and group functions, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with Strawberry business objectives.
- Implementation Excellence: Oversee all technology aspects of hotel openings, rebrands, and system changes, guaranteeing timely and successful deployments.
- Process Optimization: Define and promote best practices for technology system usage across hotels and HQ to maximize efficiency, enhance guest satisfaction, and drive business outcomes.
- World-Class Support: Lead, mentor, and manage our technical support team to deliver the best, most efficient, and proactive service in the industry, ensuring all our employees and hotel staff feel fully supported.
- Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with hotel operations, and other departments to understand technology needs and deliver proactive, innovative solutions.
- Vendor and Platform Management: Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technologies and system upgrades in partnership with our procurement and vendor management teams.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets for hotel technology deployments, enterprise platform maintenance, and the dedicated support team.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, motivate and develop our teams to ensure efficient and proactive service delivery to both our hotels and headquarters.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure all hotel and enterprise systems comply with relevant technology standards and security protocols.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the hospitality technology landscape, consistently identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation.
This role is for a strategic technology leader who brings a passion for the hospitality industry, a drive for innovation, and a proven ability to achieve business success through cutting-edge technology.
Who we think you are:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Hospitality Management with a technology focus, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in technology management roles within the hospitality industry or related service sectors, with expertise in both hotel-specific and enterprise-level systems.
- A proven track record of managing large-scale technology implementations and optimizing enterprise platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing, service-oriented teams.
- In-depth knowledge of core hotel technology systems (PMS, housekeeping, payments, spa solutions) and a solid understanding of enterprise platforms.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business needs into effective technology solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate and mitigate challenges.
- Experience in developing and managing technology budgets.
- Strong project management skills with experience in complex, cross-functional projects.
- Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations relevant to the hospitality industry.
