Technical Writer

Boule Diagnostics AB is a global diagnostics company that manufactures and markets instruments and consumable products for blood diagnostics. The company serves hospitals, clinics, laboratories and companies within blood diagnostics, in both human and veterinary hematology. The company operates via subsidiaries in Sweden, the USA, Mexico and Russia. The company products are sold globally primarily through distributors, supported by Boule’s own local sales and support personnel. The Boule shares are listed on Nasdaq Stockholm since 2011.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and structured Technical Writer to join our Global Marketing team in Sweden. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining high-quality documentation that supports our diagnostic products, that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience. Your work will help ensure that healthcare professionals, technicians, service engineers, and internal stakeholders can effectively understand and use our solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain:
  • user manuals, installation guides, service manuals, and regulatory documentation for diagnostic instruments
  • inserts and instructions for our reagents and consumables
  labels and other product related documents/markings
  
In collaboration with UX designers and developers, contribute to the preparation of intuitive and understandable interface text and guides.

Contribute to the preparation of training materials for laboratory staff and service engineers.

Manage documentation lifecycle from draft to release, including version control and updates. Maintain templates and modules of technical documents.

Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.

Participate and/or drive Change Control activities related to technical documentation.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation needed.

• Ensure documentation complies with industry standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., IVDR, FDA), and internal quality systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a technical writer, preferably in the diagnostics, medical device, or life sciences industry.
• Strong understanding of scientific and technical concepts, particularly in diagnostics or laboratory workflows.
• Experience with regulatory documentation (e.g., CE marking, FDA submissions).
• Proficiency with documentation tools such as Adobe InDesign and Teklynx Codesoft.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and version control tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
