ABOUT THE ROLE
As LeoVegas continues to grow and expand globally, we are looking for a talented team member to become an integral part of our global tax team. We are looking for a dedicated Tax Associate to join our growing team. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in tax accounting and a passion for helping businesses thrive, we want to hear from you. The Tax Associate will have the opportunity to work within the full spectrum of tax (including corporate and gaming tax as well as VAT) on both an operational and strategic level.
The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, have excellent organisational and analytical skills, a strong attention to detail as well as the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks. The Tax Associate will report to the Tax Manager located in Malta.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Preparation of tax computations, tax returns and other tax compliance documents as required
- Assisting in the compilation of the quarterly and yearly group tax reporting package
- Supporting the tax and finance team on income tax, gaming tax and VAT related matters
- Providing internal support for VAT related queries and evaluate VAT implications as required
- Liaising with external advisors on tax projects
- Staying up-to-date with changes in domestic and international tax legislation
- Partnering with cross-functional teams (legal, regulatory and compliance, finance, and other relevant stakeholders) to support business needs.
Essential Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or completion of ACCA or equivalent certification

Holds at least 1 year experience in a similar role in a consultancy firm such as Big4

Knowledge of accounting principles is required
- Knowledge of Maltese corporate tax principles is required including the ability to prepare tax computations.
Nice to have skills:
- Experience of working with the iGaming industry is valuable.
