Assignment Description
We are seeking a Software Responsible for our client in Gothenburg. This is a key role within a high-performance in-house development team focused on advancing powertrain control systems, covering a range from hybrid engine controls to fully electric drive units, inverters, and transmissions.
As Software Responsible, you will coordinate the Base Software development for electronic control units (ECUs) or inverters across different project phases. You’ll collaborate closely with system designers, software architects, and hardware engineers to ensure the delivery of robust, cost-efficient, and timely solutions. You will act as the main point of contact towards suppliers and will be responsible for aligning technology, requirements, and schedules with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate Base Software development for ECUs or inverters
Serve as the primary liaison to suppliers, ensuring technology alignment, cost efficiency, and timely delivery
Work closely with system designers and software architects to meet project goals
Support requirement analysis and solution design
Ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards
Contribute to subsystem development and integration activities
Requirements
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
Experience in Base Software development for ECUs, inverters, ECM, TCM, or similar components
Knowledge of Autosar, CAN, LIN, and software application/integration
Strong communication skills in English (Swedish is meriting)
Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external teams
Self-driven, structured, and proactive with a collaborative mindset
Preferred Skills
Experience with ECUs, inverters, TCM, ECM
Familiarity with Teamcenter, Polarion, ESOW
Previous experience in the automotive or powertrain domain
Additional Information
The consultant will be expected to work on-site in Gothenburg
Consultants are required to bring their own equipment (e.g., laptop, phone)
