At Valmet, we are now looking for a Service Engineer to join our dedicated Scandinavian team. In this role, you will work with Valmet IQ Machine Vision, advanced web inspection and monitoring systems that help our customers detect quality issues and identify root causes.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is technically skilled, communicative, and eager to collaborate across borders within our experienced Scandinavian team.
You will manage the entire service process, from planning to execution, and follow-up with support from our technical experts. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the high standards our customers expect.
Key responsibilities
Act as the customer’s technical contact and expert throughout the service process
Support the sales team with technical input
Participating in delivering projects, system upgrades, and extensions
Plan, execute, and document your own service visits
Perform preventive maintenance, system tuning, and troubleshooting
Provide remote support and collaborate with colleagues in Finland and globally
We are looking for someone who has:
A degree in engineering or a relevant technical background in automation and/or IT
Experience in the pulp and paper industry is an advantage
Experience with machine vision systems is a plus
A structured and collaborative way of working
Strong communication skills and the ability to make independent decisions
Fluency in both Swedish and English
A valid B driver’s license and willingness to travel within Sweden
