Be part of one of Sweden’s strongest brands, shaping trust among key stakeholders and playing a central role in a rapid, exciting transformation.
About the job
At Tele2, we don’t just tell the story – we’re shaping it. As Senior Communications Manager, you will be at the centre of how we are seen, perceived and understood by the world around us. Your role is to strengthen our stakeholders’ trust in us, and to protect our reputation.
Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, Communications & Sustainability, you will take the lead in three critical areas:
- Media relations – shaping the headlines by building strong relationships with journalists and ensuring Tele2’s voice is heard, clearly and credibly.
- Financial communications – owning the communications around quarterly results and other market-sensitive announcements, always accurate, always compliant.
- Crisis management – steering the message when the stakes are high, protecting our reputation, and providing clarity in the moments that matter most.
These areas are mission-critical – and for someone with your skills, they’re second nature. This role builds on that foundation and goes further. At Tele2, communications has a unique vantage point across the business, with a full view of our challenges, opportunities, and stakeholder expectations. You’ll use that insight to drive change, inspire action, and support the company’s long-term growth.
You’ll also play a part in shaping our internal communications, ensuring that the external and internal narrative is coherent and that every colleague understands where we’re going and feels part of the journey.
Who are you?
You thrive where the pace is high, the expectations are higher, and the details matter most. You can switch seamlessly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution – knowing when to zoom out and when to sweat the commas.
We believe you have:
- A solid background from a communications agency and/or a fast-growing start-up.
- Ideally, experience from a listed company and a clear understanding of regulated communication.
- Proven skills in media relations, financial communications, and crisis management – you know how to own a narrative and protect a reputation.
- Exceptional writing skills in both English and Swedish — able to craft sharp, clear, and engaging content in either language.
In short, you are fast but you also bring a sharp mind and an eye for detail. You see communications not just as messaging, but as a tool for influence, trust, and change.
A few words from the manager
This role sits within the Communications & Sustainability function. Our communications team is relatively small, but we’re highly productive and work closely together, collaborating with every part of the business. It’s a place where creativity meets corporate, where there’s plenty of laughter, and where we’re ready to step up when the stakes are high. You’ll be encouraged to test bold ideas, challenge conventions, and find new ways to make Tele2 stand out. Looking forward to meeting you! / Johan Gustafsson, Executive Vice President
