Fjällräven is looking for a purchaser to take on a key role with broad responsibility for selected apparel and hardware categories.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Purchaser – Apparel & Hardware, you will take full ownership of specific apparel and hardware categories. From concept to final production, you will ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, align with our brand vision, and are developed in the most sustainable way possible. You’ll collaborate across departments and with suppliers to make sure we meet our commercial goals while upholding our commitment to responsible manufacturing.
This role involves travelling, and we’re seeking someone who is flexible and keen on visiting suppliers to maintain relationships and oversee relevant production stages.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive our product journey from sketch to bulk production.
- Lead price negotiations to achieve target margins.
- Uphold product quality ensuring each product lives up to our brand’s high standards, from development to end use.
- Take ownership of greige and capacity booking, ensuring a smooth and strategic production flow.
- Ensure the details in the product information are right in relevant business systems.
- Build strong, lasting partnerships with suppliers that support both innovation and sustainability.
- Collaborate across teams, keeping development timelines on track and workflows seamless.
- Mentor and support assistants, sharing your knowledge in purchasing and development to strengthen the whole team.
WHO YOU ARE
Education & Experience:
- Relevant degree in Textile Design or a related field within textile education.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing and developing garments.
- You are a confident negotiator who has great communication skills, is able to build strong relationships, and drive results.
- Experience working with own production or directly with own factories is a strong advantage.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken,
