At If, being a Product Owner is more than managing backlogs and refining requirements. It’s about translating complex business needs into smart, sustainable solutions – and doing it together with people who care just as much about collaboration as they do about quality. Here, you'll be an important part of shaping the future of insurance for our largest clients – while growing as a professional in a supportive, Nordic environment.
About the role
As Product Owner within the Core domain, you will take on a key role in enabling our Underwriting teams to deliver the best possible insurance solutions to our largest industrial clients. You’ll work at the intersection of business needs and technical development, leading the process from idea to implementation – whether it’s about creating something entirely new or improving what’s already in place, from our core systems all way to our customer portal on the web.
In close collaboration with developers, other product owners, and business stakeholders, you’ll ensure that the backlog reflects both long-term strategy and immediate priorities. You’ll facilitate workshops and decision meetings, define requirements, and ensure that solutions are delivered according to agreed acceptance criteria. You’ll also play a hands-on role in the implementation phase – from testing and user training to making sure the solution truly works in a real-life setting.
Your first year will be focused on building strong relationships with stakeholders, gaining a solid understanding of our architecture, and establishing a well-structured backlog that drives both clarity and progress. By the end of it, you’ll have contributed to delivering tangible improvements that make a real difference in the business.
