Candela is the global leader in electric hydrofoil vessels. Since 2014, we’ve gone from building our first premium electric speedboat in a small Stockholm workshop to delivering game-changing vessels around the globe. The Candela P-12 is our latest innovation - the world’s first electric hydrofoil ferry is not just operating in Stockholm, but now attracting orders from around the world.
Our boats “fly” thanks to computer-guided underwater wings under the hull made out of lightweight carbon fiber. The wings lift the vessel above the water, which results in cutting energy use by up to 80%, while offering zero emissions and a far better passenger experience than traditional diesel vessels.
And that’s exactly why we do this. Our mission is clear: to speed up the transition to fossil fuel–free lakes and oceans.
You can be part of the amazing team in Candela now! We are looking for Operational Purchaser to support Candela’s future growth ambitions. We are offering a temporary contract of approx. 11 months (parental leave cover). For the right candidate, there may be opportunities to continue with us beyond this period, depending on business needs.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Manage daily purchasing operations for an assigned supplier portfolio. This includes monitoring replenishment parameters to ensure orders are placed in a timely matter.
- Ensure high availability of parts and resolve supply chain issues proactively.
- Maintain accurate procurement and supplier data in Excel and Odoo (ERP-system).
- Build a close collaboration with your suppliers and have continuous follow up to confirm delivery dates and resolve discrepancies.
- Closely collaborate with team internally (sourcing, production, quality, etc.) to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Track and evaluate supplier performance and escalate risks as needed.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable person to temporarily join our Supply Chain team during a parental leave period. We need a team player that has great communications skills that you will use daily in communication with suppliers. The role is a part of the Supply Chain team working closely to production as well as Strategic sourcing, R&D and external suppliers. The goal of the team is to ensure a high parts availability and increase profitability.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in operational purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (ideally from manufacturing industry).
- Proficiency in ERP/Inventory software and can easily familiarize with new business systems.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Strong Excel skills (formula, data analysis, etc.)
- Structured, solution-oriented with excellent attention to detail.
- Good organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work independent and manage multiple priorities in a structured way.
- You have good interpersonal communication skills suitable for an international environment, and a strong cultural awareness.
Form of employment: Fixed-term contract
